SOUTH FLORIDA SECTION ANNUAL MEETING
Submitted by Maria J. Rodriguez

Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables hosted the South Florida Section’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 4, 2018, from 10 am to 12 pm. Attending were myself (Maria J. Rodriguez), Mike Chrusch, President and Newsletter Chief Editor, Victor Rodriguez, Vice President and Treasurer, and Ming Lo, Webmaster. Other members and guests were Miguel Hernandez, and son Miguel Hernandez, Jr., Byron and Frank Owen, Drew Gregg, Sadri Medina, and Hedi Enghelberg. As members came into the dealership, they dropped their cars off at the service department to get their multi-point inspection and car wash. They joined the group, and helped themselves to bagels, coffee, water and soda, provided by Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables. The members were also treated to gifts from the dealership. The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a.m.

Mike Chrusch welcomed everyone to the meeting, and had each member introduce themselves. Mike thanked and recognized Robert Corso for being our liaison between our club and Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables. The club appreciates Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables’ hospitality, in allowing us to use their lounge for our meeting, the free multi-point inspection and car wash, and providing the goodies. As the introductions went around, we all learned a little bit about each members’ love for the Mercedes-Benz automobile.

Robert Corso welcomed the members, and spoke about the Mercedes-Benz StarParts. StarParts is an authentic parts line designed for vehicles 5 years and older. If you would like more information about StarParts contact Robert Corso at 786-413-1327 or email him at [email protected].

Hedi Enghelberg, a member, offered his shop for a future club event, and talked to the group about the different Mercedes-Benzes he has re-built, http://www.enghelberg.com.

Mike announced each upcoming and tentative events for the club. Mike, Victor and Maria answered questions in regards to each event scheduled, and requested input in tentative events that have been emailed to all.
